At S.O.A.R. Physical Therapy, service is our business. Even before providing outstanding and cost-effective care, our service to you begins with us verifying your benefits, helping you identify what coverage you have and advising you of any responsibilities you may have. Some insurance plans require referrals, pre-certifications or authorizations for physical therapy, and we assist in obtaining these. While we're happy to provide this, it is always understood that any costs you incur are ultimately your responsibility and coverage provided by your insurance carrier is an agreement between you and them. For all patients and insurance types, we can submit bills to your insurance carrier(s) on your behalf. If applicable, you will pay your co-pay, deductible, and/or co-insurance at each visit. We accept cash, checks, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. For your understanding, insurance types that are used for medical care are described below. We participate with all insurance companies and are in-network providers for some. If we have declined to be in a network, it is because that insurance plan reimburses too little to allow us to devote the time and provide the quality necessary for the care you deserve. Should you decide to begin your care elsewhere and not be satisfied with the time and quality given to you, please reconsider us.
How much will physical therapy cost you?
We accept assignment with Medicare. We will process your insurance on your behalf and wait for Medicare's payment to us. After your deductible we agree to accept 80% of their fee schedule as Medicare's full payment. If you have a secondary insurance (Medicare supplement or another plan), we will bill it for the remaining 20% and wait for that payment before determining if you have any balance due. If not, you are responsible for the 20% coinsurance when services are provided. Please call us for advice regarding details of coverage for your situation.

Everyone's NJ auto policy has a deductible and coinsurance amount. Beyond that, we bill your insurance company directly and wait for their payment. Typical of auto policies is a $250 deductible and a 20% coinsurance for the first $5,000 of care since your injury began. Therefore you are responsible for all of the first $250 and 20% of the next $5,000. After that $250 deductible and $1,000 of coinsurance, most policy holders are covered 100% to the maximum coverage of their policy (usually $250,000). If you have incurred hospital, testing or physician expenses prior to beginning physical therapy, you may have already satisfied your out-of-pocket expenses. When purchasing your auto policy you may have selected these or different coverage amounts. Check your policy or call your insurance agent for the details of your coverage, or call us if you would like us to assist you with determining this information.Additionally, if you elected so when purchasing your auto insurance coverage, your health insurance or Medicare may act as a secondary insurer and pay the deductible and coinsurance amounts. Again, check your policy or call your insurance agent for details of your coverage and call us if you would like our help.We are willing to see all patients with auto insurance coverage if your carrier has approved your care by us and their payments match the NJ PIP Fee Schedule. Please call us for advice regarding details of coverage for your situation.
